A focused first conversation
A 15-minute consultation is designed for one defined question: a deadline, conflicting document, refusal, status concern or fact that may change the application strategy.
A complete application review, appeal or court process requires a separate assessment and agreement.
Who will review the request
An intake coordinator may organize the initial information. Legal advice is provided only by a participating lawyer authorized to practise Canadian immigration law.
The lawyer’s identity and the terms of any consultation are provided before legal services begin.
What to send now
Provide a short description, the relevant program or problem and the date of any letter, refusal or deadline. Do not send a passport, medical record or complete case file through the first form.
If documents are needed, the lawyer can provide secure instructions after reviewing the intake.

Questions about request help from an immigration lawyer
Does submitting the form retain a lawyer?
No. The participating lawyer must first review the request and confirm whether a consultation or matter has been accepted.
Can a lawyer guarantee approval?
No. A lawyer can advise and represent a client but cannot guarantee an IRCC, CBSA, tribunal or court result.
