Immigration and citizenship tools

Use planning calculators for Express Entry CRS points, citizenship presence, PR residency obligations and current federal application fees.

In brief

These calculators turn common planning questions into transparent estimates. Each tool states what it counts, shows the source rules and directs readers to the responsible government service for the official result.

How to use this hub

Know what the website can and cannot do

01

General information

An article or calculator cannot decide a legal question for one person.

02

Sources

Readers should be able to see where information came from and when it was checked.

03

Choice

Readers can use government sources directly or choose their own lawyer.

An estimate is useful when its assumptions are visible

A total without a breakdown is hard to check. The tools show the entries and rule groups behind the result so a reader can spot an incorrect assumption before relying on it.

Dates, fees and scoring tables are checked against the linked primary sources.

What the tools do not decide

A calculator cannot verify whether employment is eligible, whether time abroad receives statutory credit or whether a document proves the fact entered. It also cannot reserve a place in an immigration program.

IRCC, a tribunal or a court makes the binding determination.

Keep the record behind each number

Save the travel history, language results, educational assessment, work records and receipts used in the estimate. If an answer changes, recalculate before submitting an application.

Use the government calculator or fee list at the final filing stage.
