Saskatchewan immigration programs

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program selects workers and entrepreneurs for provincial nomination. In 2026, at least half of the initial allocation is reserved for priority sectors, while accommodation and food services, trucking and retail operate under caps and intake windows.

Use the 2026 sector structure

Health care, agriculture, skilled trades, mining, manufacturing, energy and technology are priority sectors. Saskatchewan’s initial 2026 allocation is 4,761 nominations, with 750 priority-sector spaces reserved for eligible Saskatchewan post-secondary graduates.

Allocation does not create individual eligibility or guarantee space.

Capped sectors have controlled intake

Accommodation and food services, trucking and retail are limited to a combined maximum of 25 percent of nominations, with scheduled employer-position intake windows and conditions for current workers. Windows can fill immediately.

Employer Position Assessment preparation is separate from the worker’s nomination application.

Select the correct category

International Skilled Worker categories, Saskatchewan Experience pathways and targeted health, agriculture or innovation options use different job, status and occupation criteria. Entrepreneur applicants use a separate expression-of-interest and business process.

The province can change exclusions and documentation during the year.

Federal approval still follows

A successful nominee applies to IRCC for permanent residence; Express Entry-linked nomination can add 600 CRS points. Family sponsorship and federal economic or community programs may also support a Saskatchewan move.

Nominees must intend to reside in Saskatchewan and keep the province informed where required.
