Submit the correct PEI expression of interest
Labour Impact and Express Entry candidates create provincial profiles and may be invited in published draws. The province can prioritize health, trades, child care, manufacturing or other current needs.
A profile is not an application and has a validity period.
Employer support must be genuine
Several labour pathways require a full-time PEI job and an eligible employer. The role, wage, work authorization and applicant experience must meet the category.
A job offer purchased only for nomination can lead to refusal and misrepresentation.
AIP uses designation and endorsement
A PEI designated employer and candidate complete the provincial endorsement and settlement process before the federal application. Employer designation alone does not reserve an endorsement or guarantee PR.
Changes in job or employer must be reported.
Business applicants operate under an agreement
The Work Permit Stream uses business experience, net worth, investment and active management, with nomination after the applicant meets the performance agreement. Passive ownership is not enough.
IRCC decides temporary and permanent status separately.
