New Brunswick immigration programs
New Brunswick operates provincial nominee pathways and participates in the Atlantic Immigration Program. In 2026, both provincial invitations and AIP endorsements are actively managed through pools and sector priorities rather than first-come access for every eligible submission.
Use the current NBPNP pathway
New Brunswick Skilled Worker and Express Entry options use expressions of interest or provincial invitations and examine job, work history, residence, language and provincial connection. An EOI is not an application.
From May 4, 2026, new New Brunswick Experience invitations were limited to health care, education and construction trades until further notice.
AIP requires a designated employer and endorsement
The Atlantic Immigration Program begins with a qualifying job from a provincially designated employer, a settlement plan and provincial endorsement before the federal PR application. Designation is not endorsement of every position.
New Brunswick paused new employer-designation applications on February 3, 2026.
Endorsements now enter a candidate pool
New AIP endorsement applications are selected monthly according to provincial priorities and expire after 365 days if not selected. Accommodation and food-services positions are currently excluded from New Brunswick AIP endorsement consideration.
A complete pool submission is not a promise of processing.
Federal approval remains separate
Nominees and endorsed AIP candidates apply to IRCC for permanent residence and admissibility review. Family sponsorship and other federal programs can also lead to New Brunswick.
Candidates should preserve genuine settlement intent and report employer changes promptly.
