Manitoba immigration programs
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program selects workers, graduates and business applicants whose connection and plans fit Manitoba. Expression-of-interest ranking, stream eligibility and invitation are separate stages.
Manitoba connection matters
Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas pathways examine employment, family or friend support, previous study or work and strategic recruitment differently. A connection must be genuine and documented.
Support from a relative or friend is not sponsorship and does not guarantee selection.
International graduates have specific pathways
The International Education Stream is designed around graduation from Manitoba institutions and includes career employment, graduate internship and student entrepreneur pathways with different job or business requirements.
Graduation elsewhere in Canada does not automatically fit the Manitoba graduate stream.
EOI is not an application
Candidates submit profiles and may receive Letters of Advice to Apply based on ranking and draw priorities. Scores, eligible occupations and draw types change.
Claims in the EOI must already be supportable when entered.
Federal and community programs operate alongside MPNP
Express Entry, family sponsorship and federal work or study routes remain available. Participating rural or Francophone communities may use separate federal pilots with community recommendations.
All provincial nominees later apply to IRCC for permanent residence and admissibility assessment.
